Course Description

This program is specifically designed for gastroenterologists, surgeons, GI nurses, and other health care providers who treat patients with digestive diseases and who are interested in staying abreast of
GI research and state-of-the-art clinical practices.
A distinguished and experienced GI faculty panel will share this knowledge through presentation of selected and relevant research findings presented at Digestive Disease Week 2008. Topics include the diagnosis and treatment of GI and liver diseases, evidence-based research affecting the practice of clinical gastroenterology, and new developments in
GI endoscopic diagnosis and treatment.

Target Audience

Gastroenterologists, surgeons, gastrointestinal nurses, and other health care providers who treat patients with digestive diseases.

Course Objectives

Upon course completion, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss the most relevant research findings presented at DDW 2008.
  • Define recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of GI and liver disease.
  • Discuss evidence-based research that affects the practice of clinical gastroenterology.
  • Define new developments in GI endoscopy.
