Course Description

This course is specifically designed to update gastroenterologists and hepatologists on recent advances in the field of liver disease. A distinguished and experienced panel of GI and Hepatology faculty will present the results and criticial analysis of scientific research presented at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Target Audience

All health care providers who take care of patients with liver diseases or are involved in hepatology research. These should include gastroenterologists, hepatologists, fellowship trainees, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses.

Course Objectives

Upon course completion, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss the most relevant research findings presented at AASLD 2007.
  • Define recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.
  • Discuss evidence-based research that affects the practice of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • Apply evidence-based approach to construct new treatment strategies.
