Frontiers in Gastroenterology & Hepatology (CME Series)

About the Program

The Division of Gastroenterology invites you to join our continuing medical education series entitled Frontiers in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This series is a weekly conference of rotating topics focused on the latest updates and advances in research and improvement of patient care. The series is taught and led by Division faculty and fellows, as well as faculty members from collaborating University of Washington departments, such as Pathology, Surgery, and Radiology. Invited local, national, and international experts in different fields are also invited to speak on subjects of their expertise in areas of particular current interest.

Check the Academic & CME Calendar for information about this month's session topics and speakers.

About the Curriculum

The educational objectives and rotating topics of this series are chosen based on the Gastroenterology Core Curriculum, as published by the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. This curriculum is designed to address your continuing education needs and covers fourteen key topic areas encompassing all of the organ systems in the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary systems, as well as over-arching topics. Examples of such topics include malignancy, nutrition, surgical aspects, radiological considerations, pediatric patients, and motility disorders.

Join us and earn CME credit while you keep abreast of the latest literature, learn new clinical techniques and diagnostic testing for common gastrointestinal problems, participate in regular reviews of difficult or unusual problems for the practicing gastroenterologist, and keep up to date with current research topics.
