About The Course

This course is specifically designed to update gastroenterologists and hepatologists on recent advances in the field of liver disease. A distinguished and experienced panel of GI/Hepatology faculty will present the results and critical analysis of scientific research presented at the 2011 Liver Meeting®, the 62nd Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). The Liver Meeting® is the premier event in the science and practice of hepatology, where the cutting edge in the study and treatment of liver and biliary diseases is defined.

Intended Audience

All health care providers who take care of patients with liver disease or who are involved in hepatology research. These should include gastroenterologists, hepatologists, fellowship trainees, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this program,
attendees should be able to:

  • Discuss the most relevant research findings presented at the 2011 Liver Meeting®;
  • Define recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases;
  • Discuss evidence-based research that affects the practice of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology; and
  • Apply evidence-based approach to construct new treatment strategies.
